Help Me With My Plan !!

So now that this has been aquired..


And hopefully next year this 395xp as well....


So what picture comes next ?
There's medium and large...but no small !
Not a big fan of Stihl...but kinda like the 241.
I use to have a Dolmar 350 that I really liked....so my brain knows I'd like the Makita 4300 (Dolmar 421).
I also had an Echo 400 ,Husky 242 and Stihl 180 that were strong...but I don't really wanna go down that road . Something new !
Too bad the Husky 543xp isn't different
I think a 3 saw plan is good
So what do you guys think ?
I'd rather go with something new...

 

I love my 550XP!

 

I love my 241 but you couldn't go wrong with either saw.
Pick your favorite dealer then buy whatever brand they sell.

 

For a small saw I really like my top handle 192t. Works great for limbing

 

I use to have a 550xp...kinda miss it come to think of it !!

 

Good start sir. I am a Stihl guy, but respect a good saw collection when I see one.

I know you want new but... the Husky 350’s are super light plastic case saw. Best homeowner platform out there imo. You can put the 346xp top end in and they are complete rippers! Send that top
end to one of our saw builders and it comes back an animal!

Top end kits can be had for about $100 or so. huskihl can make it angry!

 

My son has the Jonsered version of the 350, the 2150. Mike, the guy that made that vid, helped me lay out lines on the cylinder and I ground it with my flex shaft dremel to port it. Used a flat top 351 piston. HUGE difference! But you really have to know what you’re doing.





Here we put a crazy modded muffler on it and a race chain for gtg fun.
