Me too. It's too warm to get the blocks out yet. Right now if I put more than 3 pieces of wood in the stove I'd be chooching us out. Soon enough though.

This thread title is hilarious! At first I was like what the ...........until I saw a few pics........I'll be sure to add to it when I load her up. I have yet to load her up fully yet, just not cold enough and am pinching splits........!
Hot spot ,Center stove top , It gets up to around 650 to 725 , If it starts to get any hotter I turn the blower on and cool it down some
Yes they are the same except for You have a bypass . I really like the square firebox I can load wood anyway I want
I don't know how far back you can get your thermometer on the insert but, anyway I checked it out to see what the difference is Between The hot spot In the center Top of my stove And The thermometer Close to the front where it is in the pic ,(that's where the manual tells you to put it ) with the IR Thermometer, it shows 710 at hot spot , 600 straight up Near the front , So , about 100 degrees difference
