Temps hanging at -14 C feels -18 C or 6 F feels 0 F, and should warm up 3-4 degrees later. Cool weather has got the short stack monster purring along eating poplar.:D

That is great. As a family we have done that a few times too. But sadly I now live further south so we rarely see them here.

You've been running around too much and off line. Time to get back to the routine!

40's yesterday; 30's today. Still breezy but not as bad as yesterday. Looks like we'll be white here soon.

Yea It's been deer season. Tractor breakdowns where I had to drive 3 hours one way to fix one day a few weeks ago. Sons birthday.

Days are shorter now. I need to keep up, now that I will be inside more!

Yeah. Deer season here too. I'm still looking. Saw a nice one yesterday but most of this year has been weird hunting. Getting better now though.

I just learned 2 nights ago that my big buck was killed 2 properties over. It will score 135 to 140. So there is not that dive that was there, knowing there is not a chance he will step out at any moment.

Bummer for you clemsonfor , but another hunter will have a great story I guess.
36F here & no wind, so not bad. Snow showers forecast for the next 7 days starting Friday. Highs in the low-mid 30's & lows in the 20's. That's not bad weather. Still burning Silver Maple, but have to toss a couple Oak splits in the boiler for overnight.
Good news is I got plenty of dry wood, new siding & upgraded insulation, so it'll be warm in here.

39 outside right now, 73 inside. I did not reload this morning because it was to be sunny and 50, not sure it made it quite there but close. 28 overnight and cold and snow showers for several days so it will be 24/7 burning. Been splitting in the dark with lights for 4 nights now. Git-r-done. Would really like to get out cutting soon.

It's 34° out now. Burning balsam fir and a split of sugar maple at night to keep the coals for a relight in the am.

It's supposed to snow, maybe an inch on Friday am.

Funny thing is we're going to Maui for over a week on Friday am.

So we just need to get to the airport Friday at butt am, and we're outta here for a while.

That would be new if you got measurable before we do. Maybe you can actually use that new boiler a bit.:D

Forecast for Friday went from 2-4, to 1-3. Wonder what we'll get, if anything.
    I'll check the weather stick.

It's begging to run. I honestly think I could reload it once a week in this weather...not even kidding.
