    On your wallet, yes. ;)

Now, I have used it before, in my parents slammer insert. It really did seem to work to make the creosote easier to brush out.

the anti creosote products don't remove creosote in the pipe, they change the form of it from gooey tarry creosote to an easier to clean crunchy form, burning dry seasoned wood and not smoldering it will mean you wont have to use these products, if you want to remove creosote form your chimney hire a sweep, get a brush and rods / soot eater and do it yourself, i don't know of anything you can burn in your stove that is going to clean your chimney for you.

Having a "hot fire in the morning" might assume you are burning low and slow not just all night but all day as well. It's a bad habit.

Just get the stove up to a proper temp in the morning and you'll get the chimney warmed right back up and a flow going again with normal use.
That may be all " a hot fire in the morning " means.

Make heat at the recommended stove temperatures. If that's too much heat skip burn cycle(s).

Good morning, billb3, Can't find a "boost " on my stove. Only have that little slider on the front under the ash shelf and installed a damper in the pipe. Here is what i did. Since the kentucky didn't want to burn I took it out, raked the coals again to the front and put in some cedar kindling.very dry 8-10 or so. It took about 10 minutes for that to finally catch with the door wide open. Also opened a window and outside door on the house to see if that would help, it made no difference. When the kindling burned well i added a couple small pieces of dry cedar and it started burning after a while very slowly, door still open. Every time i closed the door it all died down. and would very slowly reduce the wood to ashes from the bottom up. So it burned but no flames.
We have NE wind right now and that is our problem wind. Although yesterday and so far today hardly a breeze. The stove is cold now and i won't light it until tonight. it's too warm. I wonder if we need to add to the chimney. We have 15' right now and it requires 13'. We are 2 ' above the ridge of the house and there are no close by taller trees or buildings etc. Oh yes and the window slowly got black on the sides.

On the TN19 "boost" is just all the way to the left on the slider. I'm pretty sure they called it "boost" in the brief manual. If I try to get a fire started with the door open the smoke goes into the secondary tubes and out the back rather than all up the chimney.

Ok i guess i had it on boost then. Tomorrow it's going to be colder down into the 30 overnight and the wind still NE. Maybe it was too warm yesterday like Canadian Boarder Vt suggests.
