Ha. I was up at a corrected time of 330. Oops. You are not alone! 39 when I got up. It rained most of yesterday and all night. Still raining now. Figured our short dry spell was to good to be true!

35 out with some wind and drizzle. Supposedly a chance of a couple inches of snow today. We'll see.... Got down to 69 inside this morning as I let the fire go out because it was 73 when I went to bed and skipped the reload. Some oak and elm amd maybe a chunk of boxelder warmimg things back up. Couple inside chores today and gonna watch some football for a change instead of go go go!

Temps in the mid 30's this morning and it has been raining all night and it looks to keep up raining most of the day. Church this morning and then watch some football. Got friends from out of town staying with us for a couple of days starting later today.
    Still burning shoulder wood.

Still mild here. Putting just enough wood in the boiler to make DHW. Still basically no heat demand from the house. Looks colder next week.

I had read that post and was going to say you weren't a minister but thought you'd like to chime in. Shoot, many of us are followers; have been and will continue. And yes, now put another log on the fire so she removes some clothing!

Went hunting this morning but quit early as I did not dress warm enough. The walk up did me good.

We're lucking out so far as the rain has all petered out before it got to us. Could get some later but don't look like much. That is good as our road needs drying out.

Sitting at +1 C or 33 F and some wind (same temp all night I think) and should see +4 C or 39 F later for a high. And rain and rain until it snows. Tomorrow should turn us into winter wonderland.

See what y'all have to look forward to . This mornings temp. And of course during the night the Toyo OM22 quit making heat. My Bad ! Hadn't gotten around to changing the filter on the bulk tank outside in the past year. ( it burns so little fuel, it gets forgotten about !)

But being without oil heat isn't a monumental problem. Even in an R6 cabin that is a bit drafty at these temps. I just throw more wood in the stove and open it up a bit.

Bad news is....they called the snow plows out for the snow/slush. Cars are taking the ditches!

44ºF here now, supposed to go into 30ies tonight, then just 50ºF tomorrow and rain, so no sun heat gain. Just got a pine and maple fire going, maybe throw a couple more maple splits on during the game and then have some coals in the morning to get another burn going. Probably not all day as 50ºF isn't all that bad. A little warmer when it is damp and raw can be nice sometimes. That time of year to try to stay just a little ahead of just a little heat loss. The maple is three or four years seasoned so it burns pretty nice.
