Had an interesting turn of events this afternoon.

99 enjoys donating at casinos from time to time. Me, well, I just walk around and puff on a cigar usually.

Today was one of those occasions where before we came home from shopping, she wanted to stop by since it had been awhile.

Walked in, asked for a book of matches (with the cigar in my hand, mind you) then lit it up in short order.

Every once in a rare while, I'll throw in some $$. Today, with a fine cigar, (RP vintage 1990) I though I'd drop in $10. I know, right? What the heck can you do with that? I sat by myself (away from other players) enjoying the cigar and watching my $$ disappear. I got down to 45 cents left when a security form the casino started talking to me. I couldn't hear him, so I stood up and announced I have hearing aids and can't hear you. He started all over repeating that pipes and cigars are no longer allowed in the casino....since May 1st. OK, No probs, I didn't know, I'll let it go out.

I was thinking what the heck? A casino with no cigar smoking??? Oh well, it's their sandbox; their rules.

I sat back down to the machine and noticed that I had won 200 free spins! During those 200 free ones, I won another 70 or so...

Ended up walking away with a little over 225 for a return on 10!! :makeitrain"

Well, water/sewer bill is due and thats the end of that!

    Funny about the cigars, though.

I've been wondering about them. Is there any cigar you can compare it to?.....kinda/sorta?

The hardest part of a comparison is that I have a cold at the moment and really couldn’t appreciate the fullness of the cigar. It’s a great cigar, but not as full as I thought it would be. I’d say it might be close to a NUB Cameroon or a Habano as I remember them, but smoother. Mine had a tight draw and that was kind of disappointing. I actually picked it up from a dealer in a flea market today. It’s legit because they also have a store. I paid $9 just to see what it was compared to a Serie O. I found it smoother but with this cold could not pick out any definite notes. It’s worth a try. I might pick one up again after this cold is gone. Had it a week already and it just seems to be getting worse. I should have put it in the humidor and smoked it later, but I haven’t had a cigar in months and couldn’t wait. I’m still smoking a pipe cause it’s cheaper. Lol.

I hate when that happens... But thats why I also quit buying Oliva's, cause I kept consistantly getting tight packs...

Sorry to hear about that cold NortheastAl ... Hopefully it gets better....

I'm down to one a week (or longer) now....and don't like it! Just when I'm about to place an order, I'll have one and then it removes the desire to spend $$ on them.

My wife doesn’t like the smell of cigars or the after smell on me. I smoke every two weeks or so when she is on a busy work schedule. I will look at our calendar and start planning what smoke I will have and also start calling my cigar buddies to plan who’s garage we are going to smoke in.
My wife is working 4 days straight later in the week. I have my standard NUB and a nice CAO lined up.
