Just picked up some Cubex . I think that will be my main pellet for as long as they last . The place I go to still has lots of LaCretes , Energex , hard , soft and blend also Cubex and New England.

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything out there on the web saying there is a shortage of pellets in 2018. Dare I say, the owner is looking to pocket some early coin.

Our Purely Pine is sold out for the season
Our Northern Warmth Hardwood is sold out for the season
Our Northern Warmth Green Douglas Fir is sold out and won't be coming back with the Pinnacle pellet in it.....it will be back with North Idaho Douglas Fir in the bag, but not till December most likely
Solid order files on the rest of our products we do have available, but new orders on some extend into January...that is where the end of the line starts now if you want to order more.

So, will we have a pellet shortage in New England this year?.....If we have even just a normal winter, my guess would be yes we will ...especially about Feb and March...as the boxes exit the pellet business and need to make room of the BBQ's and lawn movers. Many mills are having issues of various sorts and it has a spill over effect, which at some point becomes a problem......the problem can be solved if more people would fill their basements and garages in the off season and not everybody try and get their seasons worth of pellets in Sept - Dec all at the same time each year.....It gets cold every winter...so why not have your basement full of pellets in May or June...lots to choose from, pricing is usually decent and you can get ALL you want......Nov thru March, not so much some years...I can tell you that my average dealer this year, their pellet sales are probably up close to 20% have been very busy the last 6 weeks...very busy. Shortage of trucks, shortage of fiber in places, fires, explosions, flooding, electrical problems, mill closures, more people working, much better economy and just about everyone starting the season this year with empty basements or garages.....maybe not you ....but most were and it has created the most demand in Oct I have ever seen in my ten years in this business. There may not be shortages in your area, but there will be in others....and that is just if we get a normal winter...get something like 2014/15 and it will get ugly fast....

If you are sold out for the season, why would it be better if people bought over the summer??

And if you are indeed sold out for the season, you need as to do a better job of getting product. Since the buying season really hasnt even got started.

Sold out doesnt mean a thing without numbers. I too am sold out of pellets.....
