Sounds like what we had here a couple days ago. 85 on Saturday,thunderstorms/high winds starting late night,high of 59 at sunrise on Sunday,dropping temps & strong NW gusts all day with 2 1/4" rain total & finally 27 yesterday morning with almost 1/2" snow on the grass & afternoon high of 36. Still just 26 here now,supposed to be near 60 tomorrow & mid 40's with rain again on Thursday. Hopefully all this moisture will bring on the morel mushrooms in a couple weeks....
Keep dreaming on the tick issue, MWN.....until they start spraying for them (which they WON'T), it's only gonna get worse!! As for the weather, yes its crazy. But I'd like to have at least a couple weeks of spring before we hit summer. We did 11 trees on Sunday and it was brutal!! Had to climb and piece down 5 of them, climb and rig the others, couldn't get enough fluids in me to keep me hydrated and I suffered some of the worst cramps I've ever had.....my arms and legs are STILL sore.
Same thing here it just blew through this morning. I held off planting the garden on Sunday as they are predicting a frost tomorrow morning. Hopefully it stays breezy enough to prevent a hard frost as all the trees have been setting leaves in the past few days. Haven't seen any ticks yet, dogs will be getting their collars this week though
Out turn on the cool weather is tonight, 30's with possible flurries. +1 on the ticks, those suckers are here for now. I think you'd need a cold snap to affect them.
We had 80F on Sunday and it was 30F this morning and 2" of snow. I'll be firing the stove up when i get home. I love snow but I really hope this was it for this season!
Was 31° last night, Now 49°, & overcast Spring is fighting hard to kick in here. Hopefully we'll get some near 40° nights to start the ground & lakes to thaw. Next few days & nights above freezing
I sure hope so! I've had two bites so far this year and pulled quite a few more walkers off me and the dogs. Hate those little bastads!
Got to 29 here and I picked the first one of the season off fuzzy buddy - could have been on him from yesterday and finally attached.
