Have not burned much wood here lately. Supposed to be highs in the 40's next 3 days but not that cold at night either. Rain too so will have some fires to take the dampness off.
The warmup the past couple days gave me a chance to clean the insert out and decide on some rationing but now I see nothing but grossness in the forecast.
44F & cloudy all day. rain just SE, cool East wind. Silver Maple in the boiler, it's just kinda idling along.
69ºF this aft. (although it sure felt warmer), 60ºF right now. Doesn't look like will be burning much wood for the next 7 days. Maybe a morning fire or two, maybe a short small load afternoon on a rainy day for some chill.
About an hour ago . . Not sure what it will be in the morning. Vehicles are all plugged in. Going to wait till bed time to flip the switch on the outside receptacles. That will make the meter spin. Poplar in the woodstove. Rope; r u hunting ? I may go up past Sourdough, Sat morning for caribou. Hope some are crossing.
62* os....69* is....no fire or heat for almost 2 days. 65* today....cold front comin thru...low 50's tomorrow. Probly start a fire tomorrow evenin sometime....woot
We’re just hanging in the 40’s with a cold rain so I’m trying to keep a little fire going. It’s easy to get overheated but just a little too cold to go without. Supposed to be up and down the next several days. I’d like to see more sunshine!
Low 40s here outside. Starting to forget what sunshine looks like. Boiler is still getting 3-4 splits every morning.
I have to work Saturday. There are no caribou that down on my end of the refuge. Have not heard any reports on the Taylor. Good luck!
I feel better about our weather once the fellas from Alaska start showing their temps. Sitting at -4 C feels -10 C or 25 F feels 13 F with the wind. Might see a couple more days with a few degrees above freezing, and then winter is going to stick around for good.
