Still water is frozen, as is all the slow moving streams, fast rivers are closing fast with big icebergs really helping things freeze.

Boys are excited as well, it will be good for their development. They have done well driving the tractor and wheelers. My second son Justin (7) is probably my best wood helper. We still had some wood that we had not put in the barn. When we got back from my buddy that had borrowed my tractor. Justin filled the bucket asked it he could stack it. He made a few trips before all the wood was stacked.

Prime rib steaks and king crab is the meal for a hard days work.

Howdy fellas how’s you? The boys and I were c/s/s spruce. The colder temp are making the splitting easier. And they thought they were getting the short end by having to los the bucket drive the tractor to the barn and stack. Being the good dad, we spent over an hour honing there splitting skills withthe ax. When I was satisfied I loaded the bucket, drove the tractor and stacked while they split. I assure you it was an accident that the rounds I cut for them with all the knots was not intentional.:D Funny how after a bit they thought they were getting the short stick again. They wanted dad to cut and split white they stacked.

Frozen knots make an ax bounce. And the knot free rounds I split were almost no effort.
