    Scored a free load of bucked pine. 1-2year old stuff. Might split it on Wednesday if the sun comes out.

    Yeah, that would have been the icing on the cake. It was one of my wife's friends from work. Her husband cut down a few trees and doesn't burn wood anymore. There was more that was older but it was starting to rot. Now I'll have shoulder season wood for next fall.

    Nothing wrong with pine. I would split a few into really small spits for kindling all year. I would insist on beer for all your trouble next time. :whistle:

    The sap inside the pine was nice and crystallized, and there was little of that. Even the gloves were left mostly sap free.
