Do any of you use newspapers to start your fires or does everyone use fire starters

I always rake up all the scraps after I split wood and I have access to unlimited amounts of newspapers from work so i usually take newspaper whenever I start running low

I shred anything with my name on it, that is used for starting fires. I also use splitting scraps, low hanging dead branches from the back 40 or branches that have fallen. Supplemented with splitting up squaw wood into smaller pieces.

Just newspaper here. I've been saving my dryer lint but I keep forgetting to use it lol. I have a shopping bag full of it on a table next to the dryer.

Newspaper, chips from splitting, and 2 pieces of fatwood. 2 birch splits on top of that. No doubt we will have fire.

Fatwood or whatever brand is sold at the big box stores. Two bags will get me through the season.

like others newspaper, scraps from splitting, and small branches that fall from my yard trees. I will occasionally make extra kindling from shorts.
