I have no idea what time it is either. The clocks in the house went back, but my computer says 6:24 AM. I hate to wake the girls for church, but God knows what time it is.
I wish they would just do away with the stupid time change thing anyway...just let the sun be what it is when winter or summer arrives; why does mankind have to mess with everything anyway? (rant over)
It only saves daylight for people that don't get up early. It's hard to get a 12 hour day in this time of year.
Or in my case I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark... The only time I see the light is if I stick my head outside the building...
I walk around in the dark most of the time anyway. Seems when you retire, the clock takes a fall down the priority ladder a few rungs. He!!, some times I lose track what day of the week it is........................
I am like that as well. The other day it was a Friday (I had no clue), and the clerk at the store says, "Have a Great Weekend", and I am like, "Oh yeah, it is Friday isn't it?" She looks at me like I am strange or something because I had no idea what day of the week it is. I did something similar one time on the railroad. We were high balling one night out and rolled into a town and so I stopped at a restaurant and asked the waitress where I was. She said the name of the town, and not recognizing it, I said, "No, what state?" Anyone ever been to Washington, Missouri?
Wife works evenings. She was off the other day and asked when I got home from work "don't you still get off work at 4:30 on Fridays?" It was 5:30. I said yeah, but today is Wednesday...."Oh".
I really do not miss that crap at all. Used to hate it never seeing my home in daylight except for weekends.
Isn't it strange that every year we see polls and the majority of people do not want DST; yet, we have it.
I can help you out. Church is on the weekend. Any other day is for appointments, work (at your own pace now!), relaxing, bumming, what have you?
Don't forget the all-important coffee drinking routine........ We went to the Wally on Thurs., and the wife and I both thought it was Friday. Doesn't really matter much anymore, unless we need to meet up with someone or be someplace. Man, does this bring back memories..............
