Great wood for fall and late spring, the wife likes it since it is not heavy and my stove doesn't care about a pedigree
Just mix it in with the green fresh oak so it will have plenty of time to season . Maybe the neighbors will like how it smells when it burns and ask you to burn more.
Nest of what? Sounds like a pain in the butt Dave, I have never had any willow , one guy tried to give it to me though . Twisted wood is not fun What cool weather is good though
Nothing in the nest, but it was pretty wet. I'm heading down to the other end of the log pile........Poplar is much easier than this crapola.
Hmmm, maybe not. I'm not gonna' get much more done this year. Trying to get the bigger trailer load of Pine split and stacked, and that's been going slow.
He's baaaack. Younger guy showed up about noon with another load. Mostly Spruce, some Jack Pine, and he said a couple sticks of Cherry. Should be another load of mostly Red Maple coming next week. Might be some more Pine too. I'll go back out for pics soon. I also told him I didn't want anymore Willow.
Or, I can cut it up and throw it in the woods. I'm wondering if it isn't just that one log. I'll go back at it at some point. I had him dump this batch on the other end of the pile where the Poplar is. These are much more manageable sizes too. If the rain will stop, I'll go out and cut.
