Funny you say that, if I won the lottery, course I don't buy tickets, I'd set up a website so that I could pay for the bail and Good attorneys for the person that decided some of these blank blank people needed an AZZ kick in and gave it too them!!

I wish I could believe that and always want to give folks the benefit of the doubt but I've seen to many bad things done intentionally and I continue to see it all the time. I think maybe people make bad bad choices and in their heart of hearts are good people but for whatever reason often "intentionally" make bad decisions which lead to doing bad things.

Exactly! As I have on MANY occasions. It's very sad and 90% of it stems from $$$. Most people know right and wrong but you make a choice! A bad decision is buying a flavor of Beer that you thought would taste good, to find out after you drink it, it sucked!!! Hurting or stealing from someone regardless of the circumstances is a choice and wrong! Is looting wrong after a Hurricane or disaster, "Yes" it is! I saw it with my own two eyes! Who the hell needs a set of Goodyear tires or some video games from Walmart after the storm? "Nobody" But it happened!!!

I grew up in New York, the "family" was heavily connected. Being from NJ you know what that means.
I have lived with and broken bread with those "bad" people.
I have seen more than most, still does not change my beliefs.

Beliefs are good for faith and hope! Reality is another and you know this well being from your neck of the woods! I spent 30 days at ground zero! And I've seen Good and Great examples of unity and people working together, "That's" when you won't EVER see the bad people, but there lurking for the opportunity.

Can't give your post a like as I feel for your son. As many before me have said use it as a learning experience. There are bad people in the world who have no care. Not just when it comes to some firewood, but life in general.

Some people dont even care if its a kid. A 9 year old boy robbed at gunpoint for his lemonade stand money in North Carolina! Kid had a lawn business too and was just trying to make money for a new ride on, Lowes found out and shipped the kid a new tractor. Great ending to a crappy story tho. Game cam is a great idea

Yes they did i believe it was a 19 year old kid. You can google the story. Kid was standing on his driveway waving to the big lowes truck thinking it was just driving by, but then they pulled in with his new (if i remember correctly) Troy built ride on. Great job lowes!!!

    UPDATE:
So my wife posted the theft of wood from his stand on our local facebook town page and the response was overwhelming. There were countless offers of people wanting to give him wood to take place of what was stolen. The next day when he got off the bus he saw he had a sale so he ran to get his key to the lock box. There should have been $5 in there but he came into the house with hands full of money and multiple notes explaining how they heard about what happened and they wanted to show there are more good people in this world than bad. In all, there was $40. That was Thursday. Friday when he got home, the his wood rack was completely empty. Once again, there was much more money in there than should have been. And even though it rained all day Saturday, there were more sales. My wife and I have been very moved by the gestures of our community. My son is beyond thrilled and he said even if someone steals again, he will keep filling the racks up for people who want to buy his firewood.

That's a great kid right there, you send me your PayPal address and I'll pitch in to cover what they took from him.

    Some people really SUCK!!

*edit* I saw the the community rallied around him, and that's awesome! But I'd still like that PayPal address so I can pitch in a little dough for all his hard work!!

Thanks for the offer but he has made out really well because of what happened. Scroll to my latest post about 10 minutes ago on page 3. There's a lot more people like you in this world than the scum that stole from him.

I just edited my post, but I'd still love to do something for your son.

Can you send me a mailing address? If you won't take money, I've got something else I'd like to give him......
