    chips have so much oil in them, they should be marked as flammable material!

    I have just finished reading two other fire starters thread. Great info on all the threads. One person stated he soaked small chunks of wood in diesel then when starting fire would grab one and use it. I don't have any idea of what that smoke would do to chimney and no thanks on the smell so no thanks.

    How does every body store there starters? Being our temps have been running in the upper 20s to 40ish I don't see the stove going out soon. So the starter will be more for next year.

    Right now, we have an old small dining table in the stove room.......ours are kept there.

    I made some fire starters using dryer lint and wax. Made them in an egg carton. Used one to light the fire today and I was very pleased with how it got the fire going. I am going to make more. Yup, I am using the cardboard egg cartons.
