Well we had a 2 day cold snap and the wife started threatening me that I needed to get things in order lol. Heck it’s 75 and sunny today. Hard to focus on old man winter just yet but at least I did get one thing done. Now maybe she will pipe down. Lol
I drove through some bad heavy snow squalls this morning well before sunrise. I had to slow down to 40mph visibility was so low. The snow didn't stick but man was it ever coming down! Temps were in the low 30's with wind. Now whats all this talk about cutting grass and shorts?????
Today is the fourth time we have had snow on the ground, granted just enough to track a cat, and not in all areas, but snow. The farmers Almanac says it is going to be a cold one, so that must mean its going to be a warm winter as that periodical is never right. Current weather as I type this on Mt Washington in New Hampshire Winds out of the Northwest, gusting up to 37 mph with sustained speeds of 33 mph. Temperature is 19 degrees with the wind chill at 0 degrees (f), 15 inches of snow received in the last 24 hours...
It did. Stepped out on the roof of a building here and almost fell on my azz because I wasn't expecting it to be iced up.
That is neat. I have never heard it spelled that way by anyone else until now. It is interesting that we wanted to call her Kaitlyn, BUT my wife's name is Katie (not Catherine, or other derivative, but her full name being just five letters, Katie), so we changed it up a bit to Kaelyn.
I think I am ready for winter. I finished splitting the last of my rounds before I have cataract surgery tomorrow. It may be a month before I will be allowed to do any heavy work. I came close to filling up the bins in my wood shed. I could have used a few more rounds to finish off the last row. Also got the new snow blower delivered today. The old one died at the end of last winter. The wood pictures are of the two bins I had to fill this summer. Each holds just over 2 cords.
