Ok I couldn't just watch football all day. I got out to work in the yard on the Ash tree we took out last weekend. Stitches be dammed.

Yes I'm all good. I work hard, but very smartly.

I'll update my Ash tree thread.

Cut another couple cord of wood today. Only got about half of it hauled home and none of it split. I'm more than a little tired after 3 days of firewood duty.

Road trip to Ohio tomorrow....maybe I should wear my Purdue shirt????

Looks like I’m going to stay up a while with my son while he finishes his school project. Oh well, I was thinking one cold beer would be nice. Maybe two.:D

Just a little more winterizing to do at the cottage and then remove the foods.

Dang, I hate this time of year; closing it up and all.

I've got close kin who have been in that stuff for nearly 20 years. None of them, nor their circle of friends have any driving issues related to pot. I've been offered it, but turn it down. I don't even do pain meds. I might have 5-6 beers a year. My choice. Maine has legalized it now so they don't hide it any longer. My son grows his legal amount in the back yard or grow room. I haven't seen the issues of this, but I have seen the issues when someone gets drunk on liquor. Maine still has to work out the kinks with banking and tax collection. Hoping it will get rid of the black market. Now the big issue is heroin. One death every day in this state. Some OD twice in one day. No one ever OD on pot or died from an overdose of pot. Can't say the same for the other stuff. Did you know the #1 drug cause of death in the US is from tylenol.

You'll get no argument from me on the subject.

I would still indulge if it weren't for the fact I'd lose my job.

Yes, Tylenol and alcohol are both harder on the body than MJ. Liver intensive damage over long term use or misuse.

Smoking it is harmful to the lungs, but not nearly the same as cigarettes, and now there are many varieties of edibles and such.

I've had 2 DUI's in the past, so I know first-hand that it's a stupid thing to do.
The fact it was illegal didn't stop me, but punished my stupid behavior.

Fortunately no-one was never injured by my foolishness.

People view things differently, and I begrudge no one their opinion.

As stated, my Pap would have agreed with some that this is foolishness on behalf of the Gov't.

But, when has prohibition ever truly been successful??

Works great for the criminals, they take in big cash, untaxed.

Legalizing it won't get rid of the criminal element, but hopefully will make it much less profitable.

If NY legalizes MJ, I'm sure they'll likely exclude any "home grow" provisions, as that wouldn't be profitable for the wealthy that will be permitted to become licensed grow operators.

That's exactly how they treated the medical portion some years ago.
If you didn't have $200,000 available to become licensed, don't bother.

As you can likely tell, this subject has been thought of more than once by me.

I know all the numbers to be profitable legally, and I know some of the ones that currently profit from it illegally.

    It is what it is.

Oh, BTW, no-one who truly wants to create great product does so outdoors any longer, grow room conditions are pretty much required to compete at the upper levels of quality.

Yep, I don't play the lottery, but given the chance, I'd be a wealthy man in 12-18 months time.

Exactly my thought process as well. Started off with about a week or so stacked on the porch. By the end of the winter I would load the wheelbarrow and bring it on the porch and use it until empty and then repeat.
