Great to see Allan. You're doing much better than I and you are the one who had the surgery.

Allan, I was reminded that last year in November I almost didn't make it. I do also remember the therapy trying to get back to somewhat normal and have to say, you are doing much better at it than I did. You are a good man.

If any surgery is routine, mine was very routine. On June 25 th I had my heart attack in the emergency ward of our local hospital and as soon as the blood work indicated that I was having a heart attack, the IVs were already in place and the blood thinners and clot busters were injected with the result that no damage was done to my heart and my condition became very stable. Three days later I was air ambulance to Victoria's Royal Jubilee Hospital where they have a world class cardiac facility. As soon as I arrived, an angiogram was done. It was discovered that one artery had a shepherds hook and a 90% blockage, another artery a 80% blockage, two more with 70% blockage and it was also discovered that the aortic valve had lost 40% of it function. Again my condition was very stable so I waited another 6 days for my open heart surgery. When I went into the operating room, the surgeons knew exactly what they were dealing with no surprises. From May 12 to June 25, I put up 20 cords of firewood. My surgeon said because I was in very good physical condition, my recovery was going to be very good.
From what I can remember of your illness, the surgery was anything but routine so be patient with your recovery - it will get there!

Well Allan, the surgery may have been routine but glad they fixed what was wrong. No, not routine for mine. It was emergency surgery and I almost was gone before they even opened me up. Had to pack me in ice for a time to get the body temperature down as it was 105. They told me most adults can't live through that high of a temperature. I fooled them again!

No luck hunting again. So far in October I've seen only one buck. Neighbor is coming soon as he shot one tonight and it came onto our place so he was waiting until dark to come get it. Said it is nice one. Well, I got that info from Judy as he came to the house.
