Might have been measured before, did you check the pressure in the tank? Any idea how old it is?

That said we inherited 1960 pieced together depression era style with anything including ancient green garden hoses. We had to try several differnt ways of blocking off some lines and leaving others open. I had wonderful advice here from many members, prime, prime again keep priming.

Then prime and try again. That like where you are helped us eliminate one leak at a time.

I started making a wood crib for my porch today. I didnt want to take the gamble again stacking free with windows all over the porch.

I WAY over built the base. :headbang:

3 4x4s with osb screwed to it, with supports in between the beams. Way to large and awkward for one person to move like I did after! My back is toast now. Gonna try and let Tito massage it before my liver has a say in the matter.

Gotta put the sides on tomorrow, then fill er up. 7x3x3 just about half a cord.

Well, the pressure tank has been loosing air pressure slowly for some time now, knew it was about time for a replacement. System is pressurized to 38 psi, but I'm not sure that the bladder isn't blown and I was pressurizing the tank itself. (not sure why it would make a difference really, as long as there is air pressure the system should pressurize.)

That being said, I figured the pump was the problem, so replaced that first.

    Oooops...
    :emb::whistle:

Leave it to me to find the most expensive part to replace first.

As to priming, yep, no problems there.
With the current setup, I can backfeed the entire system from the other well, and bleed the system of air.
    So, that's a good thing.

We'll see how things go tomorrow.

Can't like that, gotta be careful to not overdo it.
Easier said than done I understand.

Hope the back is better soon.

Uncle just texted me. He had a big oak tree fall on his carport during this freakish wind. Guess I got a project for tomorrow.

    Stupid people do stupid things

    Usually repeatedly lol.

Thanks, I'm sure it will be ok in the morning. I'd go soak in the hot tub, but wife has a few friends coming over and they're gonna have a few drinks by the firepit.

Even smart people make stupid mistakes, it's why they call them mistakes.

Well, if one makes the same mistake 3+ times, they're not paying enough attention.

I'm sure there's a "feed thong" joke in there.

Bad and good, huh? Hopefully the damage is minimal, and I'm assuming you'll take the wood?

SO glad to see every single start time for the world series 8pm pm or later! Whoever thought these late playoff games was a great idea should be shot. 4 hour games are a huge grind, having to try to go to bed at 12-1am on a weeknight after is just stupid.

Does the pressure tank lose pressure and you refill? Or is the system losing pressure?

I'm guessing this will be at least a 24" tree if it's the one I'm thinking of. Wood is all mine.

We had a table up front this time! :)

A very nice wedding indeed. We all felt welcome yesterday.

Here is my favorite picture of the two newlyweds.

    Pressure tank loses air pressure.

I'd notice over time that the pump will run longer to pressurize the system.

Bleed system empty, and check air pressure, and it would barely register. Repressurize the bladder and all is well for a few months.

So, after family B'fast at Perkins I'll swing by and pick up a new pressure tank from my recently "favorite hang out spot".
    :picard:

If this doesn't correct the problem, then I'll be forced to call in a well company, which will be
