Nice lookin' truck! Make sure you oil the crap out of it, especially above all four wheels. Inside the rocker panels too.
I see these all the time with problems in those areas.
I'm not just picking on Chev's, I own an older Silverado.

 

Fortunately, the previous owner oiled the crap out of it, and I will continue same. We crawled over, under around and through and she is rustless. Amazing for a 10 yo vehicle around here..........................

 

5.3? Keep an eye on your oil usage. Think they had some problems.

Yup, read up on that topic. Since retiring, I have averaged about 6,ooo miles a year so hopefully all will stay good. I will probably driving a wheel chair and pinching young nurse's arses at the old age home long before it hits a 100,000 miles........................
