Filled the rack on the front porch today. From the bottom of the rack to about the center is 5 year c.s.s. red oak. From the center line to the top is 8 year c.s.s. pignut hickory. The small pile on the far left is some 4 year c.s.s ash and cherry.

Depending on the winter, we'll burn 2.5 to 3 rack loads or about 2.75 cord.

Brilliant setup, I am assuming there is a door to the stove room there somewhere. Why I think this is such a great set up... I use same;)

    Nice
    Serious BTUs in that stack!

Many of us have got winter prep completed.
Still 12° above normal temps here.
Was planning on riding. Oct usually dry & cool.
Have the time & temps but
    has been 20 mph winds.
Now doing some chores I typically save for
Spring. Thinking I got stuff done too early

Looks good Ralphie Boy ....I am behind this year, been working on my truck & of course when it goes from 80 to 30 in the same week it'll catch you off guard. Gotta get the patio stack up. Here's what it should look like :DLooking for that picture I see that was from Nov last year so I don't feel so bad now. 20171104_152200.jpg

Yeah, in the overnights. It's been in the low 30's at night so I build a fire at 9pm to carry us through the morning. Afternoons are still nearly 60°.
