What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Caffeine going in. Time for some breakfast and then I think I’m going to get the chainsaw and tractor out and get some severely leaning White Pine taken down. These were blown over in a couple of wind storms over the last year. Several are leaning at 35-60 degree angle. I’ll need to be cautious with them. May be best to pull them down the rest of the way with the tractor first. (If I can get in right place with it.)

Getting ready to go out and do a bit of splitting while the weather is nice. I only have a week left to get some outdoor work done before having cataract surgery next week and then I will be sidelined for a few weeks while the eye heals.
I hope to finish filling the wood shed today. I am also trying to fight off a cold and SWMBO is telling me to limit the time outside.

 

Another nice day in paradise here. A bit warmer as there is a bit of a cloud cover. Half moon was trying to show through the clouds last night. campinspecter is headed out for another load of wood this morning. Last day of work with students in the building. Tomorrow is PRO-D day so it will be quiet to work on projects that need concentration.

 

Fall is in the air, cool this morning about 40ish and a cool yet sunny day today about 50. Calling for frost advisories tomorrow morning again on Sunday...........clanking some wood together this evening.....!!

 

I found a little split, seasoned and discarded wood at the dump this AM. Then I met my brother for lunch, and he gave me a 3D printed statue of the Egyptian god Anubis, that they had made testing a process. It is made out of resin and sand, and will eventually dry to a light tan color. And it is waterproof. This is a bigger one.

 

Last night I cut stacked and split about a cord of wood. Cut another load this AM then moved about 2 cord up to the boiler. About to head for the woods and try to get some groceries.

Life happened again, haven't been here in many days. Too much to catch up on.

Hunted last weed for a long opening weekend. Saw 4 young bucks over the weekend, no shooters. Twice that many does. Cut some grass while I was at the farm, cleaned up rotted meat and nasty freezer and fridge from power being cut off. My three point valve broke on my tractor ending my disking of my food plot. I pulled it part and found it, ordered parts and will make a day trip this Sunday to fix it and finish the food plot.

 

Gasifier, I see you got your ATVs did you get them at a dealer, sure looks like one in the background, I thought you were bing used older ones, or did you end up buying used ones at a dealer...or did you take them to a shop to get them looked over?

Gonna be in the 40s here in the AM. Would be fire time tomorrow after the last few cool nights but we going to my wife's mom's house and to our brother in laws birthday Sunday so we won't be home. We're going to ride the pumkin train Saturday and then back home to watch the game. So probably a quick fire Saturday . We're gonna be down close to freezing it's either Sunday or Monday morning .
