I’m at a stand still now my blade is beyond dull for the jig saw and I want clean smooth cuts. Sooo I’ll get another one tomorrow and finish the backer board then attempt to get the rest hung. I’d love to be taping and mudding the seams on Wednesday night.

 

The wife wanted to do the red guard water proofing good because I hate painting!

I’ve been bouncing between on call calls and finishing the floor seams with mesh tape and mortar today and it’s almost ready for tile!

 

She did excellent! I did mediocre so far definitely not professional level but it looks gooder to us!

Started the tile and the drill smoked out finally. Soo that’s as far as we got..

 

JUST in time for the cold... Got the toilet set Temporary until grout. We will remove it come grout time and probably painting but aside from that no more shower tent. The tile can now be done around the toilet.

 

Indeed they definitely hurt!

 

Yes it’s mortared and screwed down it’s down for good...

We don’t have a choice on the toilet it’s gettimg cold and the outdoor setup is starting to freeze at night. Besides walking through the construction site to use the toilet is MUCH better than having to get dressed and then going outside to a shower tent.


I run a dewalt for work and like then but my home tools and what I use for woodworking are ryobi mainly due to cost and reliability. I’ve no complaints and I realllly like the new brushless tools those are the bomb!


I have some that are very old blue ryobi and they still work good! You can never have enough drills or impacts that’s for sure.

The dewalt set is a 20V set that work buys and I’d rather use those on the job for climbing, crawling ect... They are about the same power for the impacts and the drills are about 2 times more powerful and more compact. It makes it a lot easier to carry them around on my belt or use the tool hanger when I’m carrying a bunch of other tools around with them. I think the battery life on the dewalt to s on the low side though I’m not much of a fan of that aspect... I can kill them quick and they are 4 amp hour vs the ryobi 4amp hour which lasts about 20 minutes more per charge.

 

Well my knees are on fire tonight... The floor looks pretty good for a guy who doesn’t do much tile work!
