    No more skinny dipping here.

It's more like "chunky dunking" now-a-days for me!

Windy and cool here this afternoon. 47 and cloudy with wind that makes it feel much colder.

My next two days off will consist of moving some firewood into the basement and under the porch for sure.

Yeah we were out this AM. Hung around until 9 am and decided to hook up the generator for the freezers & fridge, don't you know I was about to make the last connection & the juice was back on. :)

High of 44° today. Lows expected to be in the high 20's. Rain and temps not typical for this time of year. It's fine by me though, I hate working in the heat.

Nope. I’m going to take it back off tomorrow and clean it really well. Think I should?

I think you should just clean it up first. See how it goes after that.

32 this morning and a high of 54. Burning a mix of sycamore, cherry, ash and poplar. I’m enjoying our IS.

Well I haven’t cleaned it yet. Just got home about 10 tonight and the motor is doing it again. We will see what is going on in the morning. I’m not a mechanic and don’t know much about this stuff. I’ll pull the motor and start taking things apart and cleaning things. And go from there.

The cold snap got us to work on getting the stove ready for the year. A friend of mine got up on the roof for me and pushed all the soot down into the stove. After a full year of using the stove as our main heat source, there was just a lining of fluffy stuff in the chimney, which is awesome if you ask me. Even the cap only had stuff you could brush off with your fingers. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll have time to open the stove and vacuum out all the stuff that fell out of the chimney, clean the cat, clean the grate, and make the glass sparkle.

That would have NEVER come off without the fan puller tool I bought with the new motor.

Another dusting of snow overnight and so far today. The roads are starting to get slippery in certain spots. Yay.

33f, but tomorrow and Fri it'll be 50's for highs!

Yes. But I don’t want to screw up this soft heat protectant seal that is under this plate I just took off. Ugh.
