This is my neighbor's older front end loader. I'll get some pics of my stuff up today. I hope. That tank is about 900 lbs. and we fit through a 37" window in the basement. With about an inch to spare.

 

Nice takes a steady hand and smooth running machine for that job. What did you use the tank for ?

Not really. It's not worth that much and only has a 60 hp Isuzu in it (way easy on diesel for the amount of work it does). The real cost is moving it. I'd probably keep it if it lost 7 of its 12 tons and fit on my trailer behind my truck In the last decade, I've put batteries, starter, fuel pump, hydro fluid and had the hydro cooler repaired. In return, I've done a bunch of stuff that makes me happy that I probably never would have ponied up to pay someone else to do. Now that I have it running better, I'd like to take it back up to our camp in the mountains before I sell it and put in all the roads I want it. But, it would really suck to have it die for whatever reason out in the forest as I am at best a simple break fix after googling it mechanic. That is where I saved it from and taking it back up there would be tempting fate.

 

Sounds like a great idea getting it up to your cabin. Then, swing it over to ours…

 

It is basically a heat battery for my high efficiency wood gasification boiler system. I dump the hot water from my boiler into it and it helps to keep the boiler from having to cycle on and off so much. They call it a storage tank. But because my storage is on the smaller side (400 gallons), some refer to it as a buffer tank.

 

Cool thought it was for some sort of liquid storage.

Is that a permanent backhoe or convertible for 3 pt work?

 

Permanent. The B300 is built for pretty heavy construction work. That is one of the reasons I bought it. I had a Kubota with a removable backhoe, but it did not have the strength and power this one has. With the loader or the backhoe. So I found this one used with low hours. It is a 2005, and the tractor is a 1990 I think.

There it is. One nice thing about equipment is if you buy it right, take good care of it, you can usually work it for a few years and then sell it and get all of, or most of your money back.

 

That picture of the Kubota reminds me of what my yard use to look like. After this winter it is going to be sooooo much work to get it back to looking like that again. Soooo much work.

 

Nice rigs Gas. Lotsa' muscle. You prolly said already, but how many acres do you get after with the gear?

Do you have a finger/thumb for the Bob's backhoe so you could pickup logs with it? Although, you might not need it with forks on the front.
