Well, the CL was a bust. Mostly pine, mostly punky. He might have had better stuff, but he didn't show it to me. So, I saw some trees, picked up some craft beer and cider, and traded what little pine I took for a pallet and a trash can at the dump.
Sounded like it might have been a bust, at least you made a good day out of it! Nice score on that trash can too!
I was just thinking, can you imagine the confusion Midwinter caused at the dump when they saw her offloading wood into the pile?
Had to take a detour on Rt 114 yesterday morning - guessing a tree and probably power lines. That part of town was really, really dark . Also it was a dodgeball-type game driving on rt 149 with big limbs all over the place. Nothing came down in my yard except a couple of whip thin sticks. Not complaining mind you - and extremely happy that I had the willow taken out last year. Yes, I will bring that up almost every gusty day/night because it thrills me to no end that I'm not picking up large chunks of it any more
I'll bet it is in this week's local paper - with pictures and everything. Of course a lot of people will think it is a hoax
My neighbors had a huge Willow, right next to our property line. Picked up whips for years. Finally it got ants and fell over, bouncing off my roof! Luckily no damage. My husband cut it up, neighbors were very relieved and grateful. And what do they plant in the exact same spot? Another Willow!

The particleboard extensions are screwed or glued on and easily removable ? No BFD if used inside. Cheapest I ever see them around here is 5 or 10 bucks each.
They are stapled on randomly with staples that aren't crimped, if you get my drift. I may try to pry them off with a screwdriver. Particleboard out in the weather isn't good. Although come spring I would be able to pull it off with my hands.
The chipboard lifted right off, with a little force. It looks like they were cut in half. Now they are 25"x 47".
