Well, left for the grand daughters house about 7:30 its not that far away,down a dead end lane. Lots of different sized ash, all of it tall. Of course when you fall them, you really have to watch it, they get bound up in the other tree tops. So, today i fell a few more and then started cutting, and stacking brush Then, took the 266 XP and cut across the stacks to break down the size of the stacked brush. Switched off with the little Stihl 193 T just for the fun of it. You'd be surprised just quick you can cut brush with that little dude. I was cutting the limbs off the tree's i had fell and throwing them on the piles. It works great that way, and its pretty fast. Then, switched to the good old 026 i've had for about 20 yrs now, the wife won it by guessing the number of split pieces of wood in a cord. She NAILED IT, to the piece!! Right on the money, out guessed a bunch of loggers and timber cruisers, ha,ha, I love it! Anyway, bucked up a pretty fair amount of wood, got some really good stacks of brush, and cut it down smaller. Total stacks i think there are 5 or 6 of them . I've got a 044 Stihl and 2 husky 266Xp's, i've got to say it, the husky runs like jack the bear. It belonged to a local faller, that is now retired, its a good old saw, chisel bit chain, its a wood cutting beast, 30'' bar. Then i threw a quick load on the pickup of rounds , i'll split them with the splitter later on this week. LIFE IS GOOD! met one of her neighbors, nice guy, said he'd help me fall the 2 big ash trees close to her house. Looks like i'll climb them hang a cable, put a block down below, and pull them as they are cut. Fun day, perfect weather to cut wood on, cool not much sun, couldn't ask for better weather.

We can easily relate to cutting those ash and having them hang up. It happens quite often when you cut deep in the woods. But they usually are not that difficult to get down so you can finish the job.
Went back to her place yesterday, (friday) cut a couple more tree's down, stacked some of the brush i didn't stack before, took the husky and cut into the stacks to make them smaller, picked up the brush i made that day, loaded out some in my pickup and headed home. Unloaded it in the back , got quite a bit of it split with the splitter. I do have a ipad and, I've saved some pictures on. So, some day, i'll get them posted if i can figure out how to do it. It was a good day, until i threw the husky up on my shoulder and drove one of the dogs in the back of my head, about 2'' from my right ear. Not a big deal. Note to self: Wear hard hat next time, it would have prevented this. It was in the pickup. lol I did have a good cable and block ,so i hung it from another tree and pulled the one out of the top of the other.

It worked - nice looking stack! Sorry about the head wound. Wouldn't be a day of firewooding without leaking a little, right?
Finally! Oh boy, this is how i've been feeling, i'm not very computer/ipad literate, but, thanks to you!!! I got it done. now, if i can keep it straight, i'll be posting pictures a lot, ha,ha.ha. gotta keep in practice, if you don't use, it, you loose it.
ha,ha, it looks a lot better now, the wood stack that is. And the head wound, well, its kind of par for the course, makes it more ''memorable'' i guess i could say. Since this is fresh cut Ash, i split it a lot smaller than i normally do, plus, its easier for the wife to get the wood in, ha,ha, yeah, right
Well, sad to hear about the nick on the noggin but sometimes that is a good way to learn. Just glad it was not serious.
Hey, B.Brown , glad you got the pic thing figured out (thatnks to Warner 's help). Now we have proof of your escapades.
More to come, and, your right couldn't have done it without Warner's help. Going back over to her house tomorrow for more, Pict, ha ha more cutting and stacking. But,i'll be taking the old ipad too for more ''proof ''.
