The extra crud on your roofing rubber, will add weight to weigh it down once on your racks.

Our endless winter ended when summer started then it started drying out mid April. Did car show every week end starting April 21 st in Midland except a couple in May when it rained. June and July dryer than a pop corn fart so we did a couple of Saturday and another Sunday shows.

Started skidding out the down ash in mid Sept. Started falling the stuff in the wet area first week of Oct. Now it is piled by the house and in the field where I can cut at my leasure. Glad it is out of the wet area as it is starting to get wet in there again. 2,5 inches of rain last week, but we got more Sunday to start this week. Was raining at 4:00 AM this morning when I woke up.

Kindling gets split once I start the fire, all splitting scraps go in a 5 gallon bucket for use when and if I need it.

I removed the gutters from the house where I could, hate those things. Builder put the door under a valley oh what a joy to use that door when it rains.

Furnace burns so clean I ran a brush thru the chimeny back in May one day, no build up all summer.

Been thinking about buying a storage bag for the Buick.
Anti-Rust Car Cover Storage Bag | Zip Up Vehicle Cover for Outdoor Storage | Enclosed Automotive Bag Cover
Lay it out on the floor, drive the car on, install the cover just for extra protection and zip it up. Some come with a port so you can suck the air out and sort of vacuum wrap it.
Any way keeps the tiny critters out the cats don't get.

Glad to see most of you are on top of things.
This summer was one of the hottest on record here and was a record year for my biz and it's still banging! I'm nowhere near ready and anticipating a possible move mid winter :hair::hair::hair:
My wood room is almost full which is about 6 weeks of burning. I have 5 baskets of shoulder stove wood put up. Heaphausen next to shed needs to go in. Haven't even started . Lots of outdoor projects need finished . Officially aggravated !

Indoor wood bin loaded up with almost a cord.
5 cords outside covered and dry, hopefully.
Working on 19-20 wood stockpile, about 2 cords to go.
Chimney cleaned, already had a few fires to take the dampness and chill out of the house.
Wife is nagging about all I do is firewood...

Pricey106 Don't feel like the Lone Ranger when you are accused of only doing fire wood. That happens to most of us:heidi:

Just do the math and show her what a gas bill would be. She'd probably ask you why you're still standing there.:saw::stacker:

Still have to move wood into the shed for winter and also some wood stacking to do. Been on the road and another road trip to go. Also hunting season. Not much work will get done around here until after Thanksgiving.

Stop doing firewood for a couple of days. Hang out at the local bar instead and see which she likes better.
