I think I was trying to say 2 inches not 2 feet!!

 

I haven't been on in a while. Burning season is right around the corner and in stock piled pretty good right now for the OWB. Waiting on my car port to arrive so I can split and stack a nice amount next to the stove. I have probably 5 cords of wood at another location that I'm gonna burn first. This pile is 60' long or so, 5' to 6' tall and probably about 8' to 10' wide. All of it is from various tree jobs this year.

 

Pallet Pete will like this one, a sugar shack my buddy built almost exclusively out of pallet wood. The siding is pallet cut offs from a pallet shop. The frame is mostly 2x4's from heavy duty industrial pallets. It's gonna be a fun winter helping him gather and boil.

Looks like half the stores bypassed Halloween and went straight to Christmas goods.

Well it looks like down the road we will be getting some pine that came down in one of the storms. A neighbor who's property connects to ours who owns like 120 acres of the hill side and yes all trees. He had 3/4/5 pines come down this year in a storm. When I talked to him today gave us permission to come on his property to.get the and also to cut a small trail to get to it. Probably won't be this year. Chaz has enough on his plate this year between making the crossover, working on the shelter for the tractor, and now the fragging problems with the pump. But when it happens pics will be here

Anybody else got a abnormally high number of stink bugs around this year? We've easily got 50 times more than normal, and if somebody told me 100x I'd believe them. They are everywhere.

Years ago we used to have those asian beetles that look like ladybugs everywhere...haven't seen hardly any this year.

 

I've only seen a few stink bugs so far.

I started drawing out some woodshed and last night. Then decided it would be best to check setbacks first since I'm planning to put it right on the corner of my property. FIFTEEN feet from front or back lines for a shed if its bigger than 100sf, nearly twice what I expected. So it looks like I'll be building two 10x10s side by side. Gotta see if theres anything that says how close they can be. Half inch apart on the roof makes it two units, right?
