I kinda abandoned the rest of the pile for half a year - its about time to get the rest filled into ibc's. Packed all the chopped stuff into the tote in front, nearly a full one. The rest will be another one - so ill proably do some cutting and chopping on sunday. King Slacker - as on October the 1st the new season starts, even though i usualy cut my wood in Jan/Feb. I havent managed to get everything done from the last season, kinda feelin miserable now... *Again poor quality on the pictures as its done with the cellfone.
Oh well, there's no such thing as done, firewood is a chore that has no end. You had a hot summer, hard to get work outside done.
Yep thats right, thanks for the reminder. Indeed it was a very hot summer but i did chop some wood though despite the heat. But not this particular pile - if the rains stops ill give it a go tommorrow. Its 3rd of oct, national bank holiday, Reunion Day.
Thanks pal! I reckon you could call it that. Its a Radlader, Kramer 950. Aint mine though, the Farmer let me use it whenever i needed and he doesnt need it.
The four wheel steering is pretty neat, although I'm not sure what you would gain from this over the proportional steering of the skid steer
Thanks to the German purity law he won’t have much of a hangover in the morning. May be sore elsewhere though.
True. I guess I was just thinking about turning radius, and it won't be able to match the skid steer. But, if you have to cover any real distance I can see it being superior to the skidsteer..
Didnt i tell you not to film when we are out and about on the beers damm right Sir! Its great for moving in tight spaces, to some degree the skidsteer would to the job too - but just not all of it and vice versa. On the Farm its used to haul BS, to carry haye or straw, load the feeder, moving pallets or ibc totes. various attachments can be used and switched in no time. Just like the skidsteer it has his limitations - but sure is a handy machine. If you compare it to tracks and soft ground i would say yes. But still will leave its marks and if the ground is too soft - someone better get a tractor to pull you out.
It's been my experience that Americans are more obnoxious drunks than the Germans. Get in line ye old krauts!
There's always work to be done on a farm, and having a piece of equipment that works well really is what you need. My Dad always tells me stories about how they did stuff without a tractor, a wood splitter, a baler, etc... Amazing they got anything done.
