New design Harman burnpot....still a prototype

    above is a different type of burnpot......for a certain Harman unit.......
    first pic is a birdseye view, from above
    second pic is a new ignitor cradle design....I really like this......folks in R&D are doing some thinking here! :thumbs:
    the third pic is with the cradle cover removed
    and the forth pic shows the cradle cover latch pulled open....

    this new design is pretty cool in that it allows removal of the igniter without having to remove the cradle- much more user friendly......

    before ya ask, no idea when, or if, it ever goes into production..........

    right! exactly where there is more pellets earlier in the feed cycle

    I have never seen a Harman igniter/cradle, so I don't know if the current is similar?? But this design looks awesome!! Great design, good preheat bringing the air in on the opposite side, then heating and going out the burn pot holes.

    Happen to know what particular model? Or is it several?

    The Harman Bottom feed pot is similar but also very different than my Enerzone.

    the igniter holder (cradle) is MARKEDLY different than the one which has held the igniter since Harman started autoignition since the inception of the Advance many years ago....one of the few parts which hasn't changed since then.

    I don't know which models (if any), will see this new burnpot, but this particular one is for the 52i

    Again, its not really in production yet, this is a prototype...........

    The best part of the Harman Ignitor cradle is that the ignitor is supported at both ends so it does not warp from the heat and burn out as quickly as other stoves. Especially the ones with a 6" long cartridge! Also the fins distribute the heat much more quickly and efficiently. Although when I get a chance, I will put in a cheap cartridge ignitor without the fins and I bet it will work just fine! LOL
