Getting warmer finally. Haven't had to run the stove more than a few hours each day. The stove has been of since about 8am yesterday. Yes it was rather chilly in the house this morning but since no one will be home today, I didn't run it this morning. The temp should recover rather quickly tonight when we turn it on for a while.

We will run our at night until the house temp is able to stay 70. Anything less than that and the wife goes into a rant I don't want to be subjected to. It is just the way it is.

I been running mine on/off at night. The stove starts about 10 times but if I run it on low it will be in the 80's.

Any adjustment to the swing temp or install a thermostat with an adjustable swing temp?

I have a 1.5 swing for a 3 degree total. The problem is I have a crawlspace basement so my floors are cold. Until they heat up a bit my first floor cools off fast

Yea I have a similar situation. My stove is in a large living room on the lowest "living" level of the house which happens to be a slab on grade area. There is a basement a half story below this living room under the other half of the house. So I usually run with a 3 degree swing for a total of 6. But most of the time I'm in high/low so that the stove will never shut down. Especially in the dead of winter.

I'm almost to auto/off mode! Up until today auto/low mode was a requirement. In another month I won't have to run it at all until September YAY!

I may look into a new stat that will give me a greater swing. Issue is the wife may not like temp drop.

I'm able to have the bedroom window open a inch 24/7. That makes me very happy. The fresh air is so good. Wife still buried under fleece blanket and a comforter. About half way through the night I'll pull a sheet over me. I also have a fan on that just is on me.
Went out and sat in the sun today. The dogs kept running and rolling in what remains of the snow on the shaded parts of the back lawn. Later, they will be playing in an area that has some running water until early summer. Glad to see that winter has finally gone away.
Wife bought some pansies today. As soon as we harden them off, they fill give us some color in the the big pots.

Stove was off for 24 hours and windows were open after work yesterday :)
Left a window wide open all night by mistake and was freezing this am. Fired up the stove for a bit to take care of that.
