thankful for street to work in, as it rained multiple times through the day, then poured right after I dumped it. Over 50 inches ytd now.
It will hold 10k lbs if you believe the sticker. I can stack neatly green wood and get two cords with a good sloped pile, and guessing that weighs in around 9k. So I have always gone with the theory that a log pile like that, even stacked high, cant be more than 10k pounds. Plus I find that after I cut enough to load that, even with my pals, everyone is perfectly fine with heading home. My F250 also pulls it OK, but by no means fast.
This load is 2 hickory and 1 white oak. It nets out @ 7220#. That green wood is heavy. I'm pulling ours with a F-150. Does good so far. As the saying on here is "Never mind the mule, load the wagon"...
Nice load! You should be good with good brakes on both trailer axles. I worry a lot more about stopping the load than hauling it.
