Finish stacking my winter wood supply up at the house. Went in and ate super. Came back out to put the tin on the pile and this is what greeted me. Grrrr. I guess I know what I am going to be doing tomorrow.
It has happened to most of us one time or another...well, not me personally. At least you don't have to haul it very far!...so that is a huge plus!
Congratulations! You have earned your first Arrow Point, or should I say Wedge Point! It happens to all hoarders sooner or later, it's kinda a 'right of passage.' This spring my stacks were half covered with flood water. I guess it messed with the ground on which the pallets and wood sat. In mid summer, when we returned from our bicycle, trip I had 4 stacks tip. I spent too many 90°+ days restacking wood!
Those dern woodchucks were out there chucking your wood while you were inside eatin'! Hey, I've been there too.
Well poo...that's no fun...been there done that though, sometimes when the spring thaw comes around I have a lil restack to do. A couple times I caught it just in time and was able to brace things up (literally propped up) before the whole thing toppled.
If one of mine isn't falling over then I must be doing something wrong. I always thought it was the automatic scuffle feature of wood.
Earth's gravitational pull, combined with the lunar cycle often will cause a detrimental angle to intersecting lines or surfaces at or close to the point where they meet thus causing said stack to topple. At least that's what I tell myself when it happens to me.
