During to adventure looking for moose, we were within a mile of the foot of the mountains you see in some of the pictures. Of course we glassed to look for Dall sheep, in 2 days saw between 50-75. We scouted routes and looked for good camp sites and made plans for August. Mr John has not sheep hunted since he was 62, his two boys don’t seem to interested in going. The spark and twinkle in his eyes as we planed the hunt. My youngest son will be 8 and will be on his first sheep hunt. Mr John is as excited to take Justin. Exciting times in 2019.

A grizzly visited camp and left a hair on the spruce trees. Rubbed at least 10 trees around camp. Always a comforting feeling to find these around camp. 0AE21B29-E37E-4A7B-9107-580F5B1B2D61.jpeg 9A55B97B-4DB0-4474-BBEC-72221CA76AF3.jpeg

For prospective and scale of photos I was asked about the antler size. They measured 55 1/2” outside.

Do you have a rough idea on how much lbs of meat you ended up with all said and done? That backstrap alone looks like a huge hunk of meat. We get these what I call pork chubs from the store (basically 14-16 good chops, a decent roast and some pork stir fry meat after my knife magic) and that looks about like 5 of them stuck together...:grizz:

I should yield between 500-600 pounds. That backstrap was between, 80-100 pounds.

Congrats! That's awesome. My buddy and I may go next year to hunt with his brother who lives in North Pole.
