Still in the 50's at noon. 45 last night. Love this weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mackinaw bridge reopened after being partially closed because of the high winds. It can get pretty rough out there in the middle!

I'm not a fan of really big bridges as it is and that would be a big no on driving across that lol

I lit the boiler a couple days ago for a test run. Making DHW now. Burning some black locust bark and other misc stuff until tomorrow when I'll shut it down for a few weeks.

I went from 160 to 180 on 200 gallons of water in 18 minutes on bark scraps tonight. Pretty not bad.

Good morning you all, 41 deg here now. I opened a few windows to let in some nice cool air! Until a week ago we were running the AC's and sweating miserably. Over to Well Seasoned place it is 28 deg. now. He and myself have seen frost at our places a couple of weeks ago. It's coming...........

I cleaned mine on Thursday, although I don't think I'll lite a fire for a few weeks or more. I'm in no hurry to start, cause I know it will go on for 6 months. Besides I now have about 3 cords to c/s/s, that is where my thoughts are now.

First frost warning this morning although we probably won’t get it but it’s cool enough to have a little fire this morning. I do have a window open a little just so I don’t overheat.

I’m loving the cooler air finally. Just waiting on the heavy dew to burn off this morning so I can get my mowing done today. First things first though..... cover the pool!

We got over 4-1/2 feet of snow a few years back, not all in one storm, in several. Well, that kinda of squashed my above ground pool. it was close to 30 yrs, old, I was getting tired of it anyway.:rofl:

I'm seeing a big flock of Geese winging their way south now out of the north country. The fair starts this Thursday in Deerfield, the best time of the year is upon us.

That's the spirit, we New Englanders are hardy stock. Some folks couldn't handle it well up here. I look forward to hanging with you again!!:handshake:

Now as we are approaching foliage season, those of us in NH & VT always feel bad for them folks in Maine. They're over there wishing their leaves look as good as ours.o_O OK, let the fireworks begin as the Mainers try to measure up.

You can keep the most beautiful foliage. Attract more leaf peepers there and free up our roads. Seriously I passed more from the other 49 states than Maine this week either going 100 or lost and going 30. The worst thing about having to be on the road everyday trying to get my work done. Although I have to invade NH once a week and VT about every month.
