Was not hot yesterday but extremely humid. It got worse as the day went on. Did get a few sprinkles in the evening but did not amount to much at all.

Looks like a really decent cold front is about to arrive. It's about time. Wondering if we'll have our first fire of the year.

51 and nothing but a mist hanging in the air this late morning.

Glad I'm not working outside like the poor dogs I met for coffee this morning! :picard:

:dennis::dennis:Crazy hot down here in GA. Hottest day of the year, temp wise. Hit 100, but thankful the humidity is down to about 25-30% now. Supposed to be in mid--upper 90 rest of the week with no rain. It's getting so dry, even the weeds are wilting and doodle bugs (ant lions) are making their holes in the driveway, they usually only make them under a shed where is doesn't get wet...

    We've warmed up to 7 C or 44 F, should see 11 C or 52 F for a high temp. The cool fall continues.

Many will be happy when that cool moves south. We're starting to get some and it is appreciated.

-1c/30f here this morning. Weve been getting regular frosts now. The garden is done although my radishes and Kale seem to be holding up fine even though we hit -4c/25f yesterday morning. Ive been having evening fires for the most part. I love the fall!

Rained like all get out yesterday evening, but today is wind and lots of it! A bit of rain is mixed in from time to time also.

But the top news is dropping temps. it'll be one of those days where the high temps actually happened during the night morning hours.

By noon, the temps will drop to the mid 40s and tonight in the low 30s!

Fear not my friend. It is fall, not winter. Fall is cool; winter is cold!

Wind to gust to 47 mph here today. Falling temperatures but not as cold as yooperdave

Temp was below freezing last night, currently 0 C or 33 F, warming to 4 C or 39 F. I think this morning was the 3rd time I've caught a fire with coals in the morning.

Sitting at -3 C or 26 F, and dropping a few more degrees overnight apparently. Might be some snow as well. Ugliest poplar ever feeding the stove.
