I finally decided to replace the stock bumper spikes on the MS362. Tried them out yesterday evening. Works very nice, keeps the saw straight in the cut and farther away from the log. I've burned the bark on several big logs before. My wife said it looks like a serious saw now...like the Holiday Inn commercial, "It doesn't make it badder, just looks badder"...lol... really like them. Found out real quick I can't slide it in the truck bed like I used to...plus I've got to modify my storage case so the spikes will in the bottom...

Ordered them from Bailey's online. Found the M5x12 bolts and M5 locknuts at my local hardware store for $1.17...I think they wanted about $3 for one bolt if I ordered them with the spikes....ouch...

Looks like they could be very aggressive.

They'll make the saw feel like it has a considerably more aggressive chain on it. You'll probably have to run your rakers .005"or so higher that you used to in order for it to keep the chain from being grabby.

Didn't mean to sound like a Debbie Downer. I just didn't want you to go sharpen up a brand new chain and take 5 swipes off the rakers and end up having to file half of the tooth away to be able to use it

Now you need to drill some holes in that muffler so it sounds as bad as it looks

    Nice!
I have a set of those on my 372. It’s nice when you get to your destination your saw hasn’t moved an inch while everything else has migrated to the front. They work good in wood too ;)

I know the feeling, about the only way I am going to run the unported saws, is to get them ported. But no worries it’s only 4 for me. Unless I get to Whitehorse, Yukon for some arctic heated handles.

I could always buy one from Chvymn99. If the line is too long.

Yes those are aggressive. I was always used to the stock spikes on my Stihl. Then I got the dolkita with it's mega pointy monster teeth.

I have already caught the side of my Carhartt jacket with the bottom spike while the saw wasn't running:bug:
