Got my mower deck rebuilt with new spindles, idlers, and a new belt. Should be good for another 10 years. Sounds like a different machine now....super quiet.

Came to Illinois for the weekend. I do so each weekend.

Today, needed to cut the grass. Dang mower stopped on me. I killed it ti manually pull some weeds. Went to fire it back up and it spit and sputtered for about 2 seconds and then that was it. Dead. Hasnt ran since. Thing isnt 2.5 years old, don't think atleast. I bought it new from lowes.

I just mowed the lawn. I shouldnt hurt as bad as I do from that task! I split and stacked wood for 2+ hours yesterday and I felt better than this!

Guess the ol body is saying I need to replace the ride on mower.

    Belated anniversary wishes.

I cheated, Chazsbetterhalf and I got married on her birthday, means I have ONE date that I cannot forget.

It worked out really cool, everyone thought they were coming to a birthday party pig roast.

    I'm not "that guy".
    :loco:

If that were to ever happen, I would be gentlemanly enough to use the tractor to dig the hole before I told her.

I might have to teach her how to cover the hole though.

WeldrDave Happy Anniversary to you and Chrissy. I am sure she will cut you some slack cause a little birdie told me you have been a wonderful supporting husband this past year. Plus, her being from the midwest, she is naturally the forgiving type.

I was able to get some trail work done with the M59 today. Squeezed in about five hours of tractor time. Trying to get two birds with one stone. Digging/Shaping a ditch along the side of a trail for drainage and using the spoils to fill in over a culvert in another ditch for a different trail crossing. (And leveling low spots in the trails out.)

Being able to use more of the property will happen with more trails completed and appropriate drainage work. Can’t wait until the next time.

Picked about 125 lbs of tomatoes today. Canning some sauce now. Still a big pile left.

Love canned tomatoes. Best ones are the one grown in your own garden.

We own a little over 82 acres. Mostly wooded. We recently had the woods thinned out. Now turning the logging trails and older, existing trails, into a series of connecting trails.

Nice work. My wife finished 60 quarts last week. No spices added. Make whatever we want when we use them. She was tired of it after 60 and gave some tomatoes away to family.
