Spotted a freshly cut white birch on my way home yesterday. Turned around and knocked on the door. I was asked for my name and number, and I got a call a couple hours later that I could take it. It was politely mentioned that it would be helpful if I could have the wood removed before Saturday because they had family coming over to help clean up all the brush and take it to the dump. What a great deal. I get the wood and was not asked or expected to do the clean up! So I got the easy to grab stuff last night. Loaded Unloaded Today I went back and got the bigger stuff that needed to be cut to a manageable length to handle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow what a great score! I sure do love white birch. So clean as a wood. Easy to process easy to stack and store. Lots of other woods tend to attract dirt and stuff but this I can put on a grill and make coals with or enjoy great heat with it. Enjoy!!!
That's a tough looking logging crew you have there! Really nice firewood and a nifty looking trailer also. Reminiscent of the old military jeep trailers.
Stevie Wonder could see that.... Where? Yeah, “¥ou $uck’s” flying all over Connecticut... Simply awesome hoarding saewoody
Yeah we need someone to help alter a smiley flag flyer and put that slogan in there! Eric, I just read from an I phone so these pics aren’t much bigger than a computer Desktop icon but I’m likely headed towards Stevey Wonder status anyways! Gotta bug eye just about everything!
Those are definitely my two workers! The other two grumble about work. The trailer is great. It’s only 4x6, but is stout! But with a trailer that size I never have to work too hard for too long. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My dad has had a nearly identical version of that trailer, painted brown, for nearly 30 years. I think the brand name on his is Shipmate? It's a 4x6 with steel sides and fenders and a wood (plywood) floor. We've been through 2 floors in it already and need to put a 3rd one in. Best trailer for firewood hauling I've ever seen, I've been searching for another one so that I don't have to borrow his all the time.
The brand name on this is Viking, but I would bet they are the same. Originally red, but painted green. Has definitely been through more than one plywood floor. I’ll probably need to put a new one in by next spring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice score and good looking helpers you have there! My dad had a fireplace when we were growing up and he loved to burn white birch.... I think it reminded him of Christmas or something.. Always makes me think of him when I see it.
