My mower has always been pretty loud with the blades engaged. Tonight it was real loud. After I was done mowing I pulled the deck belt and two of the idler pulleys aren't great, 2 of the spindles aren't great, and 1 of the spindle is borderline shot. I figure the mower is 10 years old and those parts don't owe me anything. Parts are on the way.:emptywallet:

I just payed my neighbor to replace the three spindles on my Zero Turn mower earlier this season. One was shot. And the deck needed a little metal work where the mounted. I was surprised to find that one spindle would cost me something like $45 and a set of three was $85. I bought the set of three and he installed them for me. It has been cutting nice since then.

Gasman & Woodlands get ready. Intense line of storms in front of the pending cold front about to hit us from the NW headed SE. We should be getting wacked in the next 1/2 hr to 45 minutes.

Thanks rottiman , we need the rain real bad but can do without the damaging winds.

It seems that anytime it rains, we get the rain hard for ten minutes and then it quits.

Yup, currently about 30 miles NW of us headed SE. 12 degree temp swing on each side of the front line. Seeing some lightning along the river now. storm damage already west of us.
You will probably see it between mid night and 3.

You can have all the extra we have received. I don't think we can go boating this weekend because the launches are under water, as well as the docks. grrr

You guys seem to be getting more than your fair share, September is usually a wet month for us but with this summer being so f'ing dry, we'll see.

The water is lower unit low up here, when we were out on the St.Lawrence it was about two to three feet lower than usual but you still had deep water.

    Hey, Dennis
Let me know what temps you get. Hope the air is dryer. I can't handle this hot humid weather. How is heck the folks stand Florida is beyond me. Flat, Hot and Humid, plus, they drive like their backside were on fire. I'll stay right here and enjoy the 4 seasons and the beauty of our hills and rocky coast. The river I am close to is tide water. Very good fishing there.
Pink dot is my hide away. We are way up high from the river. Ice jam on that river in '86 that rive was twice as wide in some places. They called it a 500 year food. Second one in 50 years!

I'd like to formally welcome- " Henry James Durbin Wolff" to our world! I saw one picture and he's a big boy! Everyone is well and thanks for the "well wishes". His parents are morons, his name is too long in my opinion. He'll be either "Hank" or "Doc" to me. His older brother is "Wyatt". :rootintootin:

Caffeine in. Getting ready to go in Tractor Supply and pick up some bar and chain oil. Time to block up the last bit of Ash and Pine. Then my son will split and stack it this weekend.

Big congrats on the new grandson! I like the nickname Doc. A childhood friend of mine had it. And yes it was short for Doc Holiday, of course.
