Get that extra firewood hoarded! Sounds like trouble coming!??! Earth is set for BIG FREEZE as sun goes BLANK for majority of 2018
I'd like to see a real winter...I've heard of them... But never been fortune enough to remember them...
I hate solar minimums. The ham radio bands are practically dead until the sun spot count starts to rise again. As far as the weather goes, it's supposed to hit -1C (30ish F) here tonight. Guess what Canadian FHC friend gets to fire his stove up for the first time tonight.
I'm thinking that was said "tongue in cheek", as I can't understand why there would be any correlation between solar activity and ham radio activity.
I wonder who will be the first to try and blame "climate change" or Trump for this. Calling the Boston Globe in 3.. 2.. 1..
It's been a long Hot, Hazy, Humid summer here in Upstate NY. Really brought many out door projects to a slow pace or stopped them. Canceled my summer vacations and moved them to the fall! Can't wait for a break from the Humidity. Just happy that I don't need to burn a lot of wood! Keep cutting fellows.
I just came in from sweating my azz off outside in the humidity. The thought of a "Mini Ice Age" makes my naughty bits tingle in anticipation
I for one welcome our new Freezemeister overlords. That said, I do blame climate change for this oppressive Summer and Trump for not caring and about a million other things, since you mentioned it.
Let’s have that be the end of that tangent, yes? 2009 was a snowy one here, and maybe we’ll see a return of them cold winters I know as many do here that the lack of real cold has blown up the wasp and hornet population, right Chaz? Is it because HAM operators are trying to stay warm with their significant others
I have a ton of unfinished projects all because of the heat and mega hours at work. I'm ready for fall. Small roof and foundation projects were started and never finished . Wood is ready for shed and wood room. Just not gonna kill myself in the heat.
Can't answer for others, but plenty of them around here. Must be a wasp nest in ground by the pine I'm working on, 2 of them are quite interested in the tractor. Fortunately they are leaving me alone.
