I’ll bet it did!! Was a tough summer to be doing all that work.
What you need to do is work that into your curriculum. Get twenty kids out there working for ya. LOL

Impressive and good work! 90 cord does take a lot of work but I'd rather do that than sit at a desk...if the body will take it. I had considered doing this very same thing many moons ago simply because I like doing it and when my sons were still home it would have been a good way of teaching them even more. They both were good helpers when it came wood cutting time so the 3 of us could have had a decent wood pile before fall. But you can bet that July and August would not have been big months for all that work! We like to work when it is cool.

    Your no doubt correct.
And that’s probably because they’ve never been exposed to it. That satisfaction of accomplishment after a hard days work. Or just simply using ones brain to find small ways to make a hard job easier. That works too ;)

I have students who do help me some. No part of the curriculum sadly.

Still, good old fashioned hard work can be tied to any curriculum, be it academic or life.

Unbelievable amount of wood there jrider . If I put it on my property it would bury the house! My Dad would call splitting wood "character building work". Since all of us on FHC split wood, and there are so many characters here, I would have to say he was right!
