Decided to try splitting some wood today. There is some in one corner of the woods that we want to get out before the wet season. But my body could not do much so will have to do it little by little.

And of course what gets split has to be stacked.

I find that bucket size is just right for what I can usually get within arms reach for a splitting session. Makes a great wheelbarrow! We’re in a similar weather pattern, a couple decent days today and tomorrow but then right back to the high dew points. Makes it hard to get much done doesn’t it? Hopefully we’ll get some good weather before winter.

No doubt you'll get more. The humidity an dewpoint numbers have jumped again. Rain west of us. Looks like we'll be hot and humid for the next 4 days.

    Ugh, more humidity?

I ran the splitter for a little while myself today, but just splitting large limbs in half to use as cribbing. Finally got a pile off the ground now that my shoulder is getting better. I definitely felt it though!

Take it's slow and steady Dennis!

If you get what we have I'm sorry. Hot nasty and humid on this side of the lake. Looks like Thursday for a cool off again.Even my wife is ready for fall. I have been since the beginning of July.

Your shoulder getting better and mine really took a hit. I fell forward hard a week ago and of course put my hands out to keep from a full face plant. Dang, that hurt... I should not have tried splitting wood but just had too. Yes, both shoulders hurt like crazy; actually it is in the upper arms where it hurts but they tell me that is a shoulder problem.

Ouch! Worst part, it probably would have hurt less in the long run if you took the face plant. Hopefully they get better soon! And I know all too well how weird shoulder pain can travel. When I first hurt the left one a month or so ago, every time I would move it, I would get the exact same pain in my right shoulder.
