Have you ever had an ACCURATE test for Lyme disease?
Many researchers are hypothesizing Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Lou Gehrig’s and Multiple Sclerosis may have their origins in Lyme disease. Some studies have shown a direct correlation between Alzheimer’s and Lyme in cadaver brains.
Another Lyme literate Docter has claimed he’s never had a Parkinson’s or MS patient that didn’t test positive for Lyme.

I have/had chronic Lyme. The symptoms are the same. Parkinson’s shakes, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing. Alzheimer’s brain fog. A nasty intolerance for heat and sunlight. Less noticeable intolerance for cold. A whole slew of other conditions.
    Something to think about.

PS the only accurate diagnosis parameters for a Lyme test I’m aware of at this time is Igenex in California. Then you need a Lyme literate physician to interpret the test for a diagnosis. A little research and you can self diagnose a Lyme test better than most doctors are willing or able too.
The reason over 50% of positive Lyme tests are misdiagnosed as negative is simply using the wrong diagnosis parameters as presented by the CDC.

The better weather/air/temps arrive here, overnight. Can't wait to have the windows open again, and take a deep breath of drier air..

My wife has MS, pretty mild considering some of the folks I've seen, but she has no tolerance for heat and little tolerance for cold. Cold is much easier on both of us. I've had Lyme but not 'chronic' per se, but I have almost no tolerance for heat either. Even though we live in a northern state, there have been days where we both just sit in front of a fan (no A/C) and sweat. I'm fat too - 6' and 300 lb, although I'm pretty active, but anything over about 82-84 degrees outside and I am toast. I work best in temperatures around 50. Doesn't help that we live in a timberframe house with foam (SIP) panels which is like living in a big Igloo cooler. It holds the heat and the cold equally as well, sometimes to our detriment. I need to install air conditioning ASAP. I take two weeks off every fall, late October early November, not to hunt but to cut wood. It's the only time of the year I can tolerate a full day outdoors. I don't drink alcohol more than once or twice a year, but staying hydrated is key - critical in fact - to working when temperatures are higher than optimal.

Still kinda warm in GA. Glad our splitter is set up under a shade tree and the fans work. Oh well, one day at a time. Thank YOU, LORD, for this day...y'all have a blessed day, my woodchucking friends.

Can't stomach gatorade. Too sweet. Plus it was the medium used in a colonoscopy prep. Got so nauseated on it. I think because I had to drink so much of it. I need electrolyte replacements that are not fruity or sweet.
We learn to roll with the changes in our bodies, I try to keep active by swimming and exercises in the pool for 60-90 min x3 weekly. Where I went wrong was eating just too much. No one needs to pig out like I was doing. I stopped that, and now am losing wt. again. This time I don't know if is too late or not. I like to push myself to do more, but my body won't allow for it. I end up stoped or forced to stop. Letting the heat get to you may cause damage you might never fully recover from. I have seen that way. What is so important that you have to push your luck and take a risk that might just leave you impaired the rest of your life.

This morning the forecast was for it to be cooler than yesterday.
Noontime that forecast changed for today to be the same as yesterday.

I'm not a fan of gatoraide either but when you are at 7/11 and you need something and water isn't doing anything for you any more and you know gatoraide should work what do you do ?

I found a product made by gatorade, but not full of that sick sweet stuff. Propel. has the electrolytes needed.

There are sport waters on the market with electrolytes added. Tastes just like water because it is :)

I learned real quick in the land of heat and humidity a wet towel around thre neck draped down the cheast is a wonderful thing.
Best Cooling Towel - Top Cool Towels | ConsumerReporting

At 71 I can still pretty much be cutting fire wood in 100F heat but don't I did it in the winter.

I use those towels when I do my lawn mowing jobs, throw it in the cooler between jobs and as usual carry two or more. Being diabetic I also carry water lots of water to the tune of about 12 fl oz every half hour.
Wife bitches about how much salt I use in the summer all the time but has seen the results of my going salt less for a day and getting into a long job in the sun. with cramping and disoreation till I get more salt in my body.
There was a reason the Military gave us salt tablets daily in the land of heat and humidity.

Yep, seen that myself. After 20 years of being a mason I joined the union. First week on the job temps were 100+ degrees. Was using a brick spacing rule to mark out the courses to top of wall. Simple exercise done many times a day. Full sunshine. Made my coursing marks three times and upon rechecking it never worked out :)
    Thoroughly confused.
I had never worn a hard hat before that week. Cooked my brain. Took it off and five minutes later I could use a ruler again. Swear I’ve never been the same since. There’s some well done scrambled eggs in my head now.

You really shouldn't be drinking gatorade/powerade/sports waters instead of just plain water to stay hydrated.

There does become a point where just plain water doesn't help and you actually do need the extra boost from the electrolytes and depending on your activity and metabolism some extra glucose.
Everyone does need to limit the amount of simple sugars they are ingesting though. Fructose does seem to be indicated in fatty liver disease.

In 1977 I became severely dehydrated (with double pneumonia) while I was in Stillwater, OK learning to shoe horses. Haven't been the same since, but after 50 it has really taken a toll. Back in the '70's I had to take two salt tablets daily. Wonder if that helped my high blood pressure. I drink a lot of water, no alcohol for at least 20 years now. Powerade has zero calories and settles my stomach. Each of us has their own background so a black and white description that would cover all, not happening. Oh and my double bypass that had to be redone a month later on my right arm and now extra weight. All factors, but each has to work at their pace and ability. Good wood hunting all.
