Built this last fall, four cords of 2016 wood in there. Plans are in the works for another larger pole barn/wood port type now that I have made some space by burning all winter.

Im callin mine "big ugly", cause she's big and she's ugly  . The floor is 9x16 and the rear inside height is right around 7ft.

The excess billboard tarp got cut off yesterday.

Great thread, Stinny. I have posted pics of my shed somewhere else, 100_1117.JPG 100_1118.JPG 100_1119.JPG but since we have a dedicated woodshed thread,,I'll go again. Making ready for metal on the open end. There is metal installed behind the door, gonna' get that door re-covered and finish the left side of the door as well. Prolly gonna' leave the rest of the "convertible" tarp on the rest of the shed for a bit. (making ready to start a project in the house,,the shed can wait,,i guess) The shed measures 16' x 25' walls are 6 1/2' x 7'8" inside finish. I have electric but I just like to burn lanterns sometimes,,Peace.

^^^ Yeah,,if I could ever get the dang thing full!! I have 6 full cords and it aint half full yet!!
This non-stop rain aint conducive for making firewood, it is however,,,,good for a cold frostie!! 100_1116.JPG

Wow!! I'm impressed with all these nice sheds. I need one too... I just have piles everywhere I can find a spot.

Let's see, this site cost me a splitter that I didn't know I needed and now a wood shed.... Ohh and a bigger saw too...:)

yeah that's the stuff, I like it better, thanks for the link.

Smokinpiney, what did you end up using to waterproof the roof?
(edit) never mind, I didn't see the line below that said its a billboard tarp.
Mine's going to look a lot like yours but I was planning on metal panels for the roof, they're cheap and I can't get them locally.

Right where I want to be.
Seems like we've done this, but here's the start of mine just about 4 years ago....almost to the day.
Just worked out that some of the front stacks were inside the layout.:)
I remembered this incorrectly....this pic was taken 3-28-'10, and I thought I had only gotten 2 of the poles in the ground by the end of March because most of the ground was still frozen.
    CRS.....

    3 sections 8' x 16'
Each section to hold one burn season's worth of wood. (near 7 cord)

    I thought so as well.

Here's mine tucked into the pines and before it was filled. It's 2 years old this month. It will hold around 8 cord.

Cool, if we keep this going, I get to see Dave's get built all over again.
Ignore the messy shop. I built the front header from doubled up staggered rough one bys.
    It's 2"x8"x18'.
    IMG_3793.JPG
One regret, although minor, is I should have notched the posts to hold the headers. It's holding up fine though...so far.

Yea, cut in would be stronger.
I did the same as you, then nailed in a 2 x 4 under it for extra support (since we sometimes get snow & the roof can get pretty heavy :) )
