We're good. No tornadoes, No trees down, we've got power, and no water anywhere it really shouldn't be.

Neighbors and co-workers are not so lucky.

 

When through that once when we lost 4 close family members in just a couple months. Both my parents lost brothers (3), wife lost a Grandmother. It was 40 years ago. Hope the dust settles and you get back to a more normal life.

 

it is a three tee shirt and two shower day!

1.5 days or work this week. 3.5 next week. 0 days the week after. Then I'm off to Canuk land for a few days. Should probably learn the local language, eh?

Not so funny when you suddenly realize that most of the Liberal Arts students then finally end up being teachers of your young children - they just gotta have a degree, not necessarily a degree in what they are teaching

 

My sister just graduated from UVM. There seriously was more degrees handed out for gender, sexuality, and womans studies than for History.

No walk this morning as we are going down island. Weather has been really up and down here but we need the rain. Our walk was really exciting yesterday morning as the dogs found a bear on the trail. No damage on either side - just a lot of barking. We turned around and went a different way. There hasn't been much in the way of bear sign this year.

 

You may never want to go back home after visiting Paradise.

 

The air just changed here, a cool dry breeze is moving in. Grandson shipped out to Chicago, let the yardwork begin!

 

The air looks still here right now. I cant wait for cool dry air!

 

Nephew graduated in May, as an alumni I was flabbergasted.

Cooler air coming. Currently 68 at border with nice breeze

 

Yeah, I can imagine! I was pretty dumbfounded as I noted there was 3 history majors and way more useless degrees.

 

I looked at the thermometer when I read this, 80%. I just looked again, 81%

WTF

 

Tornado touchdown , bouncing its way along from Horicon through Cambelsport. Lost a small tree( no real lost , one of those thorny crab apple trees), Sweet corn trashed but no damage to home. Further east not so lucky in Knowles, Lomira, and Cambelsport( which got hit pretty hard) Lot of power outages. Mine went out but the genny kicked in. 16 acre corn field next door 2/3 trashed , couple of my firewood stacks are no longer stacked more like the game " Pick -up-sticks".
