I don't mind poplar/aspen/popple

    I don't really stack the stove full of poplar.
    I'll mix it in with some other higher BTU stuff or just make a small fire to take the chill off.
    IF I packed it full, I'd expect maybe 4 hours of decent heat then a couple hours of radiant heat for a chilly afternoon when a 250 degree stove is enough ... like when its 50 degrees out in october/November

    Thanks. The anticipation of getting to use the IS is driving me crazy! Lol. I have 2 big poplar standing dead and have been debating on processing them. I like having some poplar around but wasn’t sure if I wanted that much.

    IF it's easy to get, yes, I'll process poplar.
    In my case, it was 100 yards from the house, and already piled up. nice big straight stuff. :handshake:
