Here's for keeping the shorts weather alive !!!!

Well, cept for whatever it was that stung me yesterday while cutting the weeds. Back of the leg so didnt see what it was but dam that sting hurt like hell till late last night. Now its in the itchy stage.........
Given the length of time and the level of constant pain, it may have been a yellow jacket. Also, not near any flowering, so also likely a ground dweller.

    Hey dan

Drove by the place this week when detouring from the police shooting. Looks like Henry has spread out the inventory? Expanding or my imagination? Or just stocked up?

Got a couple more loads coming in this week, too..
Getting ready for the slam! more to come..
    Deliveries have been brisk!
Trying to keep all brands on the site in stock, all the time.
I think we probly have more selection than anyone around.. 8 brands..
So they are sort of spread out by brands... Plus coal...

We are definitely on the edge of fall. The poison ivy is starting to turn colors, and found some grapes growing on a stone wall this morning. They smell so good. Looks like we have a mini heat wave on tap for the next few days, and then a break with nice cool nights over the Labor Day weekend.

Things started to change a couple weeks ago, so this is the last time the ridge will appear green from here (my lower lawn) 20180826_153634.jpg

The gubment is still late on its vortex payments, even though SKEETER keeps saying it will be here soon, it hasn't gotten here yet.

20180826_122830.jpg 20180812_154926.jpg Pic of the new bike and wifey on our fist ride today. Rode 135 miles and things went well. The stereo is ok, but I still like listening to the bike. This Road King (2006) is much better handling/smoother than the old bike (2000). Second pic is Grandson Blake reaction to me telling him Grandpa got a new motorcycle.

I still haven't figured out why they even bother with radios (fm or 2-way) on bikes...
I want the exhaust and the wind...

Sorry SKEETER, I don't see Vortexes in that forecast, Gubment must have simply stopped paying for them, budget considerations and such.

Contrast that to our farmer's Almanac
Farmers’ Almanac predicts winter will be ‘teeth-chattering’ cold
The grim forecast is in contrast to the prognostication of the rival The Old Farmer's Almanac, which is calling for a mild winter.
the almanac’s famed weather forecast is out and if you’re not a fan of winter, the news is bleak.

“We’re actually calling for teeth-chattering cold,” said Geiger managing editor Sandi Duncan. “It’s going to be cold and it’s going to be snowy. We’re summarizing it as ‘cold and wet’ and the interesting thing is, it looks like winter might start a little bit early. We have some winter storms predicted early on.”
    DON’T SHOOT THE MESSENGER

The almanac’s grim forecast is in contrast to the prognostication of the rival The Old Farmer’s Almanac, which is calling for a mild winter. Bear this in mind, though: the Geiger team last winter called pretty much every major storm we had and it also nailed its predictions for muggy hot weather in parts of July and August.
“We really had as accurate a year as you’re going to get,” said company vice president Peter Geiger, “and we’re doing it two years in advance.”

The chances of the Farmers’ Almanac being right, in other words, are much greater than the chance that it will be wrong.

And that’s good in a lot of ways because knowing what the weather is going to do is a cool sort of power.

“People refer to us when they’re planning a vacation, planning a wedding, planning any kind of event,” Geiger said.

Still. That forecast. It calls for the coming winter to be harsher than last winter, which was a back-breaker by most everybody’s standards. If all that the almanac offered was that one shivering prediction, reading it might be nothing more than a clinic in depression for the winter-haters among us.
